Tyrannosaurus rex

Description

Standing 18 feet tall, the mighty King Tyrant is the apex predator of Late Cretaceous North America. Unlike the Carnosaurs of the Jurassic and early Cretaceous, the Tyrants (Tyrannosauridae) hunt in coordinated packs, the faster juveniles chasing the prey towards the slower but more powerful adults who dispatch the prey with their powerful bone-crushing jaws. Adult King Tyrants are generally to big and slow to pose a serious danger to time-travelers, but juveniles might like a taste. Be warned.

------------------

I like calling T. rex the "King Tyrant" for two reasons: 1: It sounds cool. 2: "Tyrant" is a nickname for a family of flycatchers, so it drives home the point that these are related to birds.

I really can't understand the mentality of feathered dinosaur deniers. "Feathered dinosaurs look gay!" I always loved the idea of a feathered T. rex. Believe me, if you saw an elephant-sized predator, you would be intimidated regardless of whether or not it had feathers. Feathered Tyrants for the win!

Colours based on the Red-tailed Hawk and Peregrine Falcon. I also gave it a sort of mane like a lion.

Scott Hartman used as reference, I think.

Is there any really evidence that says T. rex had feathers?
